Kristopher Hunt of Golden was the lone occupant of the vehicle

A Golden man was killed when his vehicle was hit by a train near Camp Point this morning.

The accident happened after 5 a.m. today at County Road North 2150th Avenue between County Road East 2400th and Ill. 94 northeast of Camp Point.

Kristopher Hunt, 45, was the lone occupant in the car according to Adams County Coroner Jim Keller.

Keller said Hunt was pronounced dead at 6:20 this morning.

Central Adams Fire, Adams County Sheriff’s and Adams County Ambulance responded to the call.

A second train was stopped in Camp Point before it reached the accident scene.
