Low Impact Fitness Classes offered by the Park District

7 months, 3 weeks ago

The program is open to every level of experience and families are encouraged to participate

The Quincy Park District will once again offer Low Impact Fitness Classes this winter starting Oct. 29 at Emerson Community Center.

The class will feature a gentle warm-up, floor exercises and a low impact style workout. The hour-long class ends with cool down activities and stretches. Low impact fitness has been recommended by sports physicians across the nation for those wishing for a safer workout. The stress to joints is greatly reduced by an avoidance of the jumping, pounding movements of the past.

Sessions will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday each week until Dec. 17. Cost for the winter session is $37.

The program is open to every level of experience and families are encouraged to participate. Attendees need to bring a floor mat and are encouraged to wear quality athletic shoes.

This class is taught by Vicki Ebbing and pre-registration is required for the program at 1310 Washington.
