Yes another need may arise but the sunset must be in it. We have to pay for some things, like a county jail, when they're needed and a new jail is needed. Good grief don't you think you should pay for something, there's no money fairy out there to pay for things a community needs from time to time?

If that's the way you interpret the statement then, frankly, you're an idiot. Look at all the stories about arrests for meth busts, over and over again, the same names. They don't give them more jail time partially because they don't have anywhere to put them. The crimes don't rise to the level of state prison, and we have no room at the county level. You think it's…

Build it on the current parking lot for the court house. No Transportation needed. ... We may need a new jail just due to the age and safety but it shouldn't be any larger than the current one since our county population hasn't grown,…

Kroc Center hosts "Kroc Rock-et to the Top" speed climbing competition

1 year, 10 months ago by Denise Donley

There are no limits on the number of timed climbs

During the month of February, the Kroc Center is sponsoring a speed climbing competition called "Rock-et to the Top."

Participants may pay $1 in addition to the usual climbing fee to have their climbs timed and recorded. There are no limits on the number of timed climbs, and climbers all follow the same route to the top of the Kroc Center rock wall. The competition is open to all ages.

At the end of February, the best time in each of five age groups will receive a Kroc Rock t-shirt, and the best overall times for youth and adult (18 and over) will each receive a free 10-punch Pass to the Kroc Center rock wall.
