Upscale restaurant was open for 11 years

Jorge the Crooks served its last meal Saturday night.

For 11 years, Jorge the Crooks served the Quincy area with a unique menu and a beautiful riverfront view. However February 16 was the last day the doors were open for this upscale bistro.

Dave Bellis sold the building which housed the restaurant to Michael Bayles in December 2012.

"Jorge the Crooks is history,” said Dan Hoskin, who owned Jorge's

Hoskin and his wife will not be looking for a new location for Jorge the Crooks. They both had some health problems last year and have decided to retire.

“We put quality food out at what we felt like was the best price we could. We treated everyone like they were guests in our own home. We put together a comfortable restaurant,” said Hoskin. “Those were our goals- put quality food out at a reasonable price. That’s what we did
for 11 years.”
