Republican state representative comes out for Republican state senate candidate

State Representative Norine Hammond (R- Macomb) today formally announced her support of Randy Frese of Paloma, the Republican candidate for the 47th Senate District.

Hammond toured the district visiting Macomb, Monmouth, and Galesburg and asked her constituents to support Frese.

"Randy has the right vision to go in and to start solving the problems that we are facing in Springfield," Hammond said. “Not only is Randy a small businessman with two successful terms in county government, he also has a strong agricultural background.  He wants to keep agriculture strong, and make sure that western Illinois is an attractive place for the next generation of farm families to live, work, and raise a family. We need someone who will defend and stand by the agricultural community. Rep. Jil Tracy (R-Quincy) and I both have a 100% pro-agriculture record, and I look forward to Randy Frese joining us and earning a 100% pro-ag record himself.”

Frese accepted the endorsement of his fellow Republican.

"Representative Hammond is a wonderful representative for western Illinois in Springfield," Frese said. "Her record reflects the values of the majority in western Illinois and I can guarantee that my record will reflect my strong belief that agriculture is the backbone of our region and the state of Illinois."
