In October the Illinois Liquor Control Commission conducted compliance checks around the state and visited 204 businesses. The ILCC cited 62 licensees for violations of liquor control laws.

Seventy percent of the licensees visited complied with Illinois liquor laws and refused to serve underage customers.

Twenty-seven places in Quincy were checked by the ILCC and the Illinois State Police. Of those, five sold alcohol to underage participants.

Those places cites were Players 5th Street Pub, The Place, Mi Jalapeno, County Market Express on North 12th Street and El Rancherito.
