Why does the proposal have the size of the House and Senate in it? It should have only dealt with whether voters support term limits for our corrupt politicians. However even with the House and Senate changes in it, it should be allowed to be voted on by voters. The only reason Quinn and Madigan oppose the measure is because it threatens their power and control.

In other words Quinn's figures are a lie and a distortion of the true employment and unemployment numbers. Numbers I've seen that show only 47% of working American's have full time jobs. That is hardly good news for workers.

First Hannibal snowman building contest

Families and individuals build a snowman in their yard or in one of Hannibal's parks

Hannibal residents are looking forward to the first major winter snowstorm so they can participate in the first Hannibal Snowman Building Contest.

Families and individual build a snowman in their own yard or in one of Hannibal’s 25 parks and take a photo of it for judging.

Accessories can be used. All photographs of snowmen must be entered by Feb. 25, 2013. All entries should consist of a photograph of the snowman and must have at least one of the builders in the photo for scale.

Entrants are encouraged to add their own creative touches that will make their snowman unique. Prizes will be awarded for Biggest, Most Original and Most Hannibal Spirit.

Winners will be judged by the Hannibal mayor and Park Board members.

Families and groups in the pictures would be welcomed.
