Early Warning Siren at 8th and Adams out of service

Siren failed during monthly test

The Quincy Fire Department would like to make the public aware of the fact that the early warning siren located at 8th and Adams will be out of service until further notice. The siren failed to sound during the regularly scheduled test on September 4th. Upon further investigation it was found that the siren will not receive the activation signal. The part responsible for this has been removed and sent off for repair. When the siren is returned to service the public will be notified.
