The public will soon have another chance to help prevent pill abuse and theft on Saturday, September 29th

Saturday, September 29th is Drug Take Back Day, and local law enforcement is helping residents rid their homes of potentially dangerous prescription drugs.

The Quincy Police Department, the Adams County Sheriff's Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration encourage those who have expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs to bring medications for disposal.

Blessing Hospital nurses will also be present at the Quincy Mall to take blood pressures and distribute medication bags.

This service is free to the public and no questions will be asked.
