Body found at Best Way Inn on Mark Twain Avenue identified as 63 year old Howard Miller of Hannibal

A body found Wednesday morning at the Best Way Inn in Hannibal has been identified.

Marion County Coroner Darrell McCoy has identified the body found as Howard Miller, 63, of Hannibal.

An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday morning.

Multiple police cars were sent to the Best Way Inn at 612 Mark Twain Ave.

The Hannibal Police Department has not released any information about the incident but a man was detained in the back of a squad car.

At least five police cars were at the scene as officers combed the area for evidence.
