The single source quote of $8,696.50 from Laser Shot was accepted

The Quincy City Council accepted the single source quote of $8,696.50 from Laser Shot for firearms training equipment at Monday night’s meeting.

Basic equipment was purchased from Laser Shot a year ago. This additional training equipment will purchase software that will provide supplemental scenarios such as sniper and narcotic operations.

The software will also give the effect of guns firing and give officers a chance to work with both a handgun and rifle.

The council also granted authority to the Quincy Police Department to transfer one-half of the JAG grant funds in the amount of $8,605 to the Adams County Sheriffs Department.

Also approved at the meeting, two extended warranties are to be purchased from Shottenkirk Chevrolet for $5,960.

HVAC upgrades and gas piping services for the Washington Theater facility were rejected due to exceeding budgeted amount.

An ordinance granting a special use permit for a planned development at 823 N. 54th and 901 N. 54th St. for a cleaning and disaster restoration business was adopted.

The City council will next meet Tuesday, October 9th, due to the Columbus Day holiday.
