Come on man, You got the wierdo Debbie Wasserman, how can you even try to compare to Palin. There arn't enough paper bags at County Market to make Wasserman doable!!

What's hilarious and terrifying at the same time is that Palin was nearly a stroked-out McCain away from being the leader of this country. Think about that whenever her prompter freezes and she has to improv.

I assume she was invited to Iowa because regardless of her elect-ability, she's down to earth, likable, and us commoners can relate to her. She likes to hunt and fish, she doesn't have a perfect family, she makes mistakes, and she's not an elitist Beltway type talking down to us. She's one of us, warts and all. As a bonus, she drives liberals like you insane just by existing. You're…

Wow! He was able to get all the talking points in there. To bad an alderman doesn't have the power to fix the public safety pensions. Oh and if he could put all future police officers on 401k plans, who will fund the pensions for all the current employees? After this interview, it sounds like Heinecke may be the best choice. Sad!!

Chicago State Senator arrested for trying to take a handgun on a plane

2 years, 1 month ago by Bob Gough

State Sen. Donne Trotter on Wednesday was busted for bringing a handgun and bullets through an O’Hare Airport security checkpoint on his way to catch a flight to Washington D.C.

From chicagotribune.com: A bond hearing will be held today for state Sen. Donne Trotter, who was arrested at O’Hare International Airport for allegedly trying to board a plane with an unloaded handgun and a clip with six bullets.

Trotter, a Chicago Democrat who is seeking the congressional seat vacated by Jesse Jackson Jr., is charged with a Class 4 felony. He was taken into custody Wednesday morning and held in jail overnight.

A Chicago police officer responded to a call of a handgun that showed on an X-ray machine at Checkpoint No. 2 in Terminal 1 around 7 a.m. Wednesday, police said. When police and an agent from the Transportation Security Administration realized the bag belonged to Trotter, they escorted him to a nearby room to interview him, police said.

Authorities found a .25-caliber Beretta in his garment bag, and a clip containing six live rounds in a separate side pocket, according to police, who said the gun was not loaded.

Trotter told police he worked late Tuesday night at his job as a security guard for All Points Security and packed his bag early this morning, police said. They said he told authorities he didn’t realize the gun was in the bag.
