Chicago area man arrested in Quincy on child molestation charges

An eight year old girl did the right thing, and spared herself from an alleged molester. 

An eighteen year old suburban Chicago man is behind bars, charged with indecent solicitation of a child. 

Quincy police were called last night to a home on South 7th Street after the girl told someone that 18 year old Shaquille Phillips of Evergreen Park had asked her to touch him. The girl refused and reported him. She was not physically harmed.

After talking with the girl, Quincy Police took Phillips to the Adams County Jail.
