But the implications aren't just for Chancelors of Universities. This would have to legally apply to every government job which would certainly impact applications and it will also surely result in some hires being second guessed and place a cloud over the incoming person selected. The public is not going to be privy to the reasons candidates are not selected and yet eventually some candidate…

VIDEO: Candlelight Vigil Held for Connecticut Shooting

Many gathered in Washington Park Tuesday night to honor victims of Friday's mass shooting.

Voices were raised in song and prayer Tuesday night as more than 50 people gathered in Quincy’s Washington Park to remember the lives lost in the Newtown Connecticut school shooting. A lone gunman took the life of 26 students and staff plus his mother and himself.

Those in attendance held candles and flashlights as the names of the 26 victims were read. Several area pastors led those in attendance in  prayer.

Connie Ward helped organize the vigil.

"I think everybody here has kids and what happened in Connecticut was terrible. I mean, it hurts your heart. We just want to show those people that we're here for them and we love them and support them," said Ward.

She said she started planning the vigil Friday night but it didn't all come together until Tuesday. Ward said she was able to spread the word quickly through radio and social media.
