Candidates for CUSD No. 4 School Board can being circulating petitions Tuesday

Nominating petition forms for the April 9, 2013 school board election in Community Unit School District #4 are now available. Forms may be picked up in the office of the Board Secretary at 453 W. Collins Street on any business day between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Candidates may begin circulating petitions Tuesday.

Petitions must be filed in the same office no earlier than 8 a.m., Monday, December 17 and no later than 5 p.m., Monday, December 24. Candidates’ names will appear on the election ballot in the order in which their nominating papers are received in the secretary's office.

Four seats on the seven member board of education will be filled. Three candidates elected to four-year terms will serve until April 2017. The seats currently held by Guye Dedert, Cory Miller and Lisa Thompson will be up for election. One candidate will be elected to fill the remaining two years of an unexpired term to which James Farmer was appointed last year.
