do they charge Dish & Direct TV a fee? I thought the cable fee had something to do with them using city property to run their wire. Does phone company pay city also?

Now the citizens of Missouri need to prepare for the "fleecing" their state and local governments are about to put on them, to build a new downtown stadium so Kroenke doesn't have a reason to leave in 2016.

Team America, Naked Gun, Hot shots all the way back to The Three Stooges, and Charlie Chaplin, Hollywood has taken "Assassination attempts" or just plain mud slinging at Dictators or famous people, this is nothing new we need to grow up, and fat face needs to quit giving them material.

I wouldn't be able to give a very educated response to that question, because (having this conversation in work circles) I always understood this franchise agreement to include a fee a cable company would pay to the city of Quincy for sole rights as a cable provider in town. Quinn, industry urged to speed lock-and-dam fixes

6 months ago from the Associated Press

New federal program available that could speed needed repairs

Members of Illinois' congressional delegation are urging Gov. Pat Quinn and industry to pursue public-private partnerships to fix the state's aging locks and dams.

U.S. Sens. Dick Durbin and Mark Kirk, and Reps. Cheri Bustos and Rodney Davis sent Quinn a letter Tuesday urging him to coordinate with industry to take advantage of a new federal program that could speed needed repairs.

They say states could bypass the sometimes-slow U.S. Army Corps of Engineers planning, design, and construction process. Communities instead could develop "innovative financing structures" that include private funding and construction.

They say members of the agriculture, mining, and shipping industries should be involved in the effort to repair locks and dams on the Mississippi and Illinois rivers, which are used to move millions of tons of goods annually.
