Quincy firefighters responded to 422 Maiden Lane

The cause of a Wednesday night fire which took the life of a Quincy man has been released. A Quincy Fire Department investigation revealed the fire at 422 Maiden Lane to be incendiary in nature.

No obvious accidental or natural causes were found during the course of the investigation. Further investigation details will be released by the Quincy Police Department at a later date.

Quincy Firefighters responded to 422 Maiden Lane just after 10 p.m. Wednesday.

Fire Chief Joe Henning said crews responded to the general alarm and when they arrived they found the two-story brick home fully engulfed.

Firefighters found the body on the second floor.

Adams County Coronor Jim Keller has confirmed the fatality as Daniel Dietrich, 52, of 422 Maiden Lane.
