Cause of death determined in case of woman's body that was found following an October fire

A woman whose body was found following an October fire died from a head injury.

Nancy Streitmatter's body was found October 8 inside a building at 219 Oak. The building was the scene of a fire the night before and Streitmatter's body was found during a follow-up investigation by firefighters.

A news release by Quincy Police says the investigation into Streitmatter's death continues and all possibilities were being examined from homicide to accidental death. QPD has not focused the investigation on one specific circumstance or individual.
