Afternoon accident blocks part of Broadway

On Monday, Quincy Police, the Quincy Fire Department and Adams County EMS responded to the report of a traffic crash with injuries in the 1800 block of Broadway.
An investigation determined that a 2004 Mitsubishi, driven by Erica Gallaher of Mendon, was west on Broadway and collided with the rear of a 2002 Dodge that was stopped in traffic.
The Dodge was being driven by Barbara K. Selby of 1022 Kentucky, Quincy. Selby’s passenger, Robert Ellison, 48 of Quincy, was transported to Blessing Hospital for minor injuries.
Gallaher, 21, went to Blessing Hospital by private vehicle for minor injuries.
Gallaher’s vehicle was towed from the scene due to damage. Gallaher was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident was released pending a September 10 court date.
