It isn't, per se, illegal "in your car" but it is illegal "in a public place" which is defined in our municipal code as "reasonably...expected to be viewed by others' which would hold true for a car...and especially if an officer approaches your window for whatever reason. Might they tell you to cover up and move on? Maybe....but they wouldn't be required to ignore your offense.

arrest    Erica Kirlin 40, of Quincy for speeding.     

Arrest    Dexter W. Murphy 47 of Burlington IA was arrested for speeding at the Quincy Mall on 8/17/15.

arrest    Thomas C Hedges 37 of 200 Maine #151 for FTA - theft and seat belt on 08-18. Lodged 

Burglary   James L. Hawkins of 2303 Mary Lane reports that his garage was entered and items stolen on 8/13/14.

Burglary   Malissa A. Starman of 2240 Oak reports that her 2009 Kia was entered and items stolen while the car was parked at 801 Klondike Road on 8/13/14.
