Titan tractor tires have a very poor track record in the last few years and it is evidently starting to show up in Titans pocketbook.

370-400 bushels per acre? National average is supposed to be a record at 172, but are they making 370 even in the irrigated bottom ground? We had lotsa rain and a lot of double ears filled out ... but the average is only 10 bushels higher. Of course most of those extra bushels are probably sold at $3, and they are looking at under $3 next year. Most farmers already made a lot of purchases with…

Sale should become final and public before or at next week's OLC Board meeting, which is scheduled for Wednesday

On the heels of winning their third Prospect League title, the Quincy Gems sale is about to become final.

Sources have told Quincy Journal that an agreement in principle has been reached between the Oakley-Lindsay Center Board and another party.

OLC Executive Director Rob Ebbing would not identify the buyer, but confirmed lawyers from both parties are finalizing the terms, saying the deal was "in lawyers' hands now."

The OLC Board is scheduled to meet next Wednesday at noon in its regular monthly session. The deal will be announced before or at that meeting.

Quincy defeated the Chillicothe Paints in Ohio last night by the score of 3-1 to win the Prospect League championship.
