Trial set for Oct 14

A Quincy man charged with two counts of 1st degree murder in connection to a knife attack last month pleaded not guilty Wednesday morning in Adams County Circuit court.

Alex Koehler, 27, is alleged to have stabbed Robert Owens, 56, with a knife in the 900 block of Payson Avenue on July 9th.

Owens suffered a serious injury. He was found in his home by Quincy police after a wellness call later that same morning.  He died at Blessing Hospital of his injuries on July 12th.

Koehler's trial is scheduled to start October 14th.

He is currently being held on $1,000,000 bond in the Adams County Jail.
