School Board only spends $66,000,000 if the referendum doesn't pass. $105,000,000 if it does pass. That's not close to the same thing.

I agree the IHSA should be open and transparent but to hold a hearing on the group in question and they aren't allowed to express their side of story seems heavy handed and one sided. I hate saying this but pass a law making the IHSA subject to the Open Records law and then the government should butt out.

Arrest made in Keller Marina boat theft

Quincy Police have arrested a man in connection with a weekend boat theft.

On Sunday morning around 8:40, a boat was found unoccupied near the Memorial Bridge on the Missouri side of the river across from Quincy. The boat, which had sustained some damage, was reported stolen from Art Keller Marina at 6 a.m. Sunday.

The QPD investigation named the suspect as Casey J. Mayes, 22, of 1110 N. 7th Quincy. Mayes was arrested Tuesday and lodged in the Adams County Jail, where he faces charges of Theft over $500.

The Missouri State Water Patrol assisted QPD with the investigation.
