Operating the food pantry is definitely not the right thing to be doing in this residential neighborhood. Expanding it is even more ridiculous. Residents of the neighborhood deserve whatever privacy they can garner. This is just wrongheaded on the part of Madonna House. No matter how much good they are doing, they need to focus on their original mission of helping young mothers, and the homeless. Food…

Brantley Blevins allegedly had meth making materials in the 1994 Mazda he was driving

Just after 12 p.m. Wednesday, a Quincy Police officer recognized a man driving on Gardner Expressway and the officer did not believe the man had a valid driver's license.

The officer stopped Brantley Blevins, 33, of 5711 Lee Drive in Quincy, at Gardner Expressway and Jefferson. 

In the passenger seat and floorboard of the 1994 Mazda, the officer found materials that can be used in the production of methamphetamine. 

Blevins faces charges of driving with a revoked license, unlawful possession of meth precursors and unlawful possession of meth making materials.

Blevins is in the Adams County Jail.
