Was Arrested for Meth in December, 2013
Bruce A. Blevins, age 30 of Quincy was arrested at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening, after a traffic stop was conducted on IL 57 near 8th Street. The West Central Illinois Task Force was conducting an investigation on Blevins for the purchase of methamphetamine precursors at a local retail store. The Adams County Sheriffs Office K-9 Unit was called in to conduct a drug sniff of the vehicle. Blevins was found to be in possession of pseudoephedrine, lighter fluid, cannabis, and a plastic container. Blevins was arrested for Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine Precursor and was transported to the Adams County Jail were he remains lodged.
Adams County Court records indicate that Blevins is free on bond for Aggravated Participation in Methamphetamine Production and Methamphetamine Related Child Endangerment. Blevins was arrested in December of 2013 after the West Central Illinois Task Force served a search warrant at his apartment, 208 S. 12th, Apartment B in Quincy. Blevins is scheduled for a July jury trial on the original case.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
