OK....safety, security, and human decency. At least somebody has given some "reasons"...almost. #1 Why is the jail less safe now than when it was built? #2 Why is the jail less secure now than when it was built? #3 Why is the jail less humane now than when it was built? (I assume that's what he means when he says "human decency") Those are the questions that the voters need answered to support…

Precisely. This pig was on the scene for hours with the deceased as it laid in the streets. If was so seriously injured why wasn't he seen by the EMTs on the scene. I'll tell you why because this is some BS story concocted later when he realized the depths of the pot of s**t he put hisself in.

Special prosecutor files motion to dismiss misconduct charge

A Adams County judge dismissed the felony charge of official misconduct against the Pike County, Illinois Sheriff Friday morning.

Judge Chet Vahle made his ruling for Paul Petty after Special Prosecutor Ed Parkinson filed a motion to dismiss the charge.

Petty, who serves as sheriff and coroner, was accused of misconduct in his role as coroner and was in court FRiday morning.

The charge, filed by former Pike County State's attorney Carrie Boyd, who resigned shortly after beginning the case, alleged that Petty failed to have the body of Shanda Lopez embalmed before proper toxicology samples were taken.

Lopez died in September 2012 as a result of an apparent drug-induced homicide.
