Perhaps it's just people taking offense to my comment about the danger to police officers. I'm a realist...not a worry wart. If you take the logic that any armor piercing round is a threat to law enforcement then you logically should look at what the biggest threat is...handguns....and we've already been through the exercise of banning those in too many places. If you are thinking "I don't have a AR-15, so it doesn't affect me" then think again. If they get by with this, the next bullets or guns he will do this to is YOURS. Think about this. 21 year old Zachary Ballinger was arrested for involuntary manslaughter

A Quincy man was shot on his porch on the south side of Quincy Sunday.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of shots fired in the 3000 block of South 24th in Quincy.  

Upon arrival, deputies discovered a 21-year-old male on the porch of a residence with an apparent gunshot wound.   The name of the victim is Austin Micheal Hermann.

Hermann was pronounced deceased by Adams County Coroner Jim Keller. Keller said a full autopsy will be done on Monday, but Hermann died from a single gunshot wound.

As a result of the investigation, 21-year-old Zachary Ballinger of Quincy was arrested for involuntary manslaughter and possession with intent to deliver cannabis.  

Ballinger was lodged in the Adams County Jail without bond.
