Yes another need may arise but the sunset must be in it. We have to pay for some things, like a county jail, when they're needed and a new jail is needed. Good grief don't you think you should pay for something, there's no money fairy out there to pay for things a community needs from time to time?

The way I interpret "our jail no longer meets modern day needs" is "we need a new jail so we can further grow the incarcerated population, our police force, and government power while shrinking everyone's liberty and taxpayer pocket books." Registered voters can vote prior to the March 18 primary regardless of reason

Early voting begins today across the state of Illinois.

Anyone wishing to vote prior to the scheduled March 18th primary in Illinois can do so, regardless of reason, at the County Clerks office.

In Adams County, the County Clerk's office is located at 507 Vermont in Quincy and is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Early voting will conclude on March 15th. After that, anyone wishing to vote will have to do so on March 18th at their respective polling place.

Almost every contested race in Adams County is on the Republican ballot including Governor, Treasurer, US Senator, State Representative and County Clerk/Recorder.

There is also a contested race on the Democratic ballot to challenge incumbent US Congressman Aaron Schock.
