With all respect, pjohnf, I've gotta disagree. Whether we like it or not, Bergdahl was an American serviceman. That one fact is the reason that I believe we HAD to get him back regardless, whether he was a traitor or a patriot. There is a big difference between inadequate and illegal. To date, no agency has obviously indicated that the jail cannot be used but that doesn't make the jail adequate for todays world. A Model T Ford could still be used for a patrol car as well. It isn't illegal to drive one but it is entirely inadequate.
Malicious mischief? I'm waiting to someone to be arrested for shenanigans. Shouldn't people have to call in and describe a missing bicycle, and then QPD would see if they have one on their list that matches? It seems like posting descriptions of found items makes it easy for a ne'er-do-well to claim something that isn't theirs.
