Motorist saw the top of the vehicle in the embankment

A Mendon, Il woman was found laying next to her car Friday morning.

Diane Mann, 56, was driving west on N 2100th Ave at E 1150th St Thursday night when she lost consciousness and slid off the roadway into a deep embankment.

Mann then got out of her vehicle and slipped on the snow and ice from the creek causing her to fall and hit her head.

Mann was discovered laying next to her vehicle Friday morning at 8:55 a.m. when two motorists happened to see the top of her vehicle down the embankment.

Mann was taken to Blessing ER for hypothermia, frostbite and various abrasions.
