Michael Troyanovich was Cape Air's 10,000th boarder this morning
For the second straight year, Quincy Regional Airport has had 10,000 passengers take off.
The milestone means the Airport receives a $1 million subsidy from the Federal Aviation Administration to put toward capital improvements to the facility.
Michael Troyanovich was the 10,000th boarder. He received a round trip flight from Cape Air and a clock from QRA.
Airport Manager Jarred Hester said Cape Air's boardings are up about 3 percent this year. Last year, the airport didn't hit 10,000 enplanements until after Christmas and needed a concentrated marketing push by the facility and the City to hit the mark by the end of the year.
