A shake and bake methamphetamine lab and various chemicals used in the manufacturing process were seized

The West Central Illinois Task Force executed a search warrant Monday evening at 606 Maple in Quincy.

Arrested during the warrant were Daniel J. Bottorff , age 56 of the home, and Matthew C. Schroder, age 28 of 4703 Lynnwood Court.

Seized during the search was a shake and bake methamphetamine lab, and various chemicals used in the manufacturing process.

Bottorff was arrested for Unlawful Participation in Methamphetamine Production, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine Manufacturing Materials, and Unlawful Use of Property.  Schroder was arrested for Unlawful
Participation in Methamphetamine Production, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine Manufacturing Materials, and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine Precursors.   Both Bottorff and Schroder were transported to the Adams County Jail were they remain lodged.

Adams County Court records indicate that Schroder is currently on bond in two cases.  One for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and the second for Theft.  Schroder is scheduled for a February jury trials on both cases.

The West Central Illinois Task Force was assisted in the warrant by the Quincy Police Department, the Quincy Fire Department, and the Illinois State Police Methamphetamine Response Team.
