Visitors are to now use the building's south entrance
On October 15, the Quincy Public Schools will be implementing new procedures for visitors to the Board of Education Offices. The new process will improve security and make it easier for visitors by providing a single access point.
The Maine Street entrance will be closed for public access. All visitors to the Board Office will enter through the south entrance, off 14th Street.
Like all other buildings, visitors will be greeted by security and will then sign in and go through a metal detector. Visitors will still receive direction at the reception desk that will now be located the second floor immediately outside of the elevator.
In addition to the security changes, 10 parking spaces will be designated for visitor parking.
