I am much more cynical than I am naive. There is such a thing as "contempt" which is what should be used here. Disturbances by cell phone users happens all across the planet - no reason why court rooms should be exempt.

Sending people away is huge business generating huge political incentives to create more felonies on the books for even minor offenses. Some of these people do not deserve the permanent stigma of a felony on their record that practically bars them from the job market. So you'd rather have an employer, instead of spending their TIME, you'd rather have them waste money on a background check and make decisions based on that information without actually talking to a person? Accident occurred Sunday evening; Driver identified

The Adams County Sheriff's Office investigating a fatal rollover accident.


The accident happened at 5:04 p.m. on County Road N 1500th Ave, east of E 1353rd Ln. According to Adams County sheriff Brent Fischer, the driver lost control of the vehicle, overturning several times after leaving the roadway.

The driver was ejected from the vehicle.  Adams County Coronor Jim Keller said the fatality was Matthew Guthrie, 23, of Chicago.

Central Adams County Fire Department and the Adams County Ambulance Service assisted the Sheriff's Office.
