Autopsy is scheduled for Monday
A body was found in the Mississippi River and is under investigation.
According to Marion County Sheriff Jimmy Shinn, the body was found south of Hannibal, near the cement plant.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday to help determine the cause and help identify the body.
Shinn said the body appears to have been in water for some a long period of time. He said they have not ruled out foul play for a cause, but are uncertain at this time.
The water patrol with the Missouri State Highway Patrol is assisting in the investigation efforts.
