The City of Quincy rolled out its honor guard to commemorate September 11, 2001.
Brother Ed Arambasich, Chaplain for the Quincy Fire Department, organized the event to honor those who have fallen and to thank those who serve in the line of duty.
The ceremony also honored local police, fire and ambulance workers who assisted with Friday night's Newcomb Hotel fire.
Linda Go painted a 9/11 portrait and donated it to the city. The portraits will hang in City Hall and at the new Training Facility at 18th and Seminary Road.
