The Finals were this Saturday at Cowden Pioneer Days in Cowden,IL where Quincy native Jonathan Brown competed
The 2012 Texaco Country Showdown State Finals were this Saturday at Cowden Pioneer Days in Cowden,IL.
Jonathan Brown, 33, of Quincy was the Coyote Country local winner of the Texaco Country Showdown this past July.
Jonathan said he was nervous for his first song but nailed the second. Unfortunately, it just wasn't enough. Alyssa Page from Macomb took first place. He says he would like to compete again next year.
"I will continue singing, and use this as a great learning experience," Brown says, "every dog has it's day, today just wasn't mine!"
Coyote Country would like to thank Jonathan on representing Coyote Country at the state competition!
