The custom of a Ploughman’s Lunch was originated in England and was meant as a quick, hearty meal that could be eaten at the side of the field so that work could continue. In the mid 1950’s the tradition was revived by British Pubs as a marketing tool to increase sales.
Past Ploughman’s Lunches have raised a total of more that $14,000.00 to benefit many local organizations.
