CoolEdge - REBEL MEDIA: Grand Jury is NOT about Guilt or Innocence: Ferguson True Bill or No Bill? - Quincy, IL
hmmm ... well, it IS about innocence since there are lower standards for indictment (preponderance) than for conviction (beyond reasonable doubt). Of course if there is a trial both sides will have time to bring more facts, but the prosecutor is going to pretty much "bring it" to get at least to the level of an indictment, as I understand it. If he ain't got it for indictment, how's he…

Hate to say I told ya so, but…….. This farce was never about new school buildings or “For the Kids”. In fact it was sold to the public in the guise of an Economic Stimulus "Win-Win" Plan. It was always about getting $$$$ from the taxpayers before they realized how much their property taxes would decrease. Billy Madoff Daniels tipped off the plan way back in the fall of 2013 in his comments to the…

OK everyone is complaining about the plight of low wage earners and how not passing the minimum wage increase will ruin them. Well sorry to say minimum wage jobs come and they go - that's how it goes. Illinois economy will adjust. - if it couldn't then the 3 lowest minimum wage states should have already dropped off. On Saturday, October 6th, the public is invited to a celebration for the Show Barn at Windsong Acres, near Camp Point

Due to the weather, this event has been cancelled.

On Saturday, October 6th, the public is invited to a 100th Anniversary Celebration for the Show Barn at Windsong Acres, near Camp Point Illinois.  The unique and historic barn, built by Clarence and Cora Dickhut in 1912 and renovated by Jeff & Shelly Rasche in recent years, is an Adams County landmark and is currently being considered for listing on the National Register of Historic Places.  Admission is free; donations are welcome and will help maintain the barn for the future.  Visitors may wish to bring lawn chairs.

Old-fashioned games for children will begin at 3:00 p.m.  Between 4:00-7:00 p.m., the celebration will feature music by local singers and groups, tours of both barns at Windsong Acres, photos of the barn restoration process, antique tractors, cars, and antique farm artifacts, and demonstrations by members of the Adams County Olde Tyme Association.   Food and refreshments will be available throughout the event.

All guests will have the opportunity to sign a wood plank that will be added to the barn to commemorate the 100th Anniversary Celebration, and a group photo of all who wish to pose with the barn will be taken at approximately 6:00 p.m.

Beginning at 7:00 p.m., the Silver Dollar Square Dancers from Quincy will demonstrate square dancing. Guests are invited to grab a partner and join in the fun.

Windsong Acres is located at 2121 E. 2400th Street, Camp Point, IL, which is two miles north of Camp Point and one mile east.  The barn is visible just one mile due west of Camp Point Central High School.  Detailed directions and more information is available at www.ShellyRasche.com
